Physical Requirements: * Ability to sit, stand, walk or climb stairs up to 8 hours in all weather conditions. * Perform 1 hour patrols 4x during shift.* Drive Bobcart around the tank farm. Perform outside perimeter security checks at parking lots, gates, tank farm and dock/waterfront; 33 check points. Strong night vision required.* Push/pull 10 pound gates.* Climb 12 foot ladders.* Conduct truck checks and inspection. Provide instructions to truck driver in the cab approximately 6 feet off the ground. Process truck including stepping up approximately 1 feet. Use screening mirrors under the truck.* Must be able to wear fire retardant clothing, steel toed boots, helmet, gloves, and safety glasses in the plant. * Able to wear respirator, must be clean shaven for full contact* Able to work dispatch communication devices and computer terminals.* Assist emergency response personnel during an emergency as directed being able to walk up a flight of stairs; handle a 20 pound fire extinguisher; and to stop and/or direct traffic while standing for prolonged periods of time in inclement weather. * Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.* Perform all essential functions inside and throughout the client site. Work Environment includes:* Uneven surfaces, including gravel and railroad track* Exposure to truck fumes and chemical fumes* Poorly lit exterior areas
Provide access control; inspect vehicles; review documentation. Patrol tank farm facility or staff post as instructed and serve as a general security presence and visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions; detect suspicious activities and watch for criminal acts or client rule infractions at or near assigned post which may be a threat to the property, client or employees at the site. Report all incidents, accidents or medical emergencies. Respond to emergencies, such as medical and bomb threats; and to alarms, such as fire and intrusion by following emergency response proceedings.
Must have TWIC card and be eligible to pass three year MVR background check to be eligible to drive which is a requirement for this location.
